Show Review: Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin - 12/09/06

They didn't try to look cool. At all! Their jeans weren't women's. Their t-shirts weren't ironic. Their ties weren't even present. They were refreshingly normal. There were no gimmicks. SSLYBY are like Pavement or 'Blue Album' Weezer. They look completely normal but their music is great. Also, every song is only like two and a half minutes. Here's the song that got me into the band.

MP3 - Oregon Girl (Live - 12/09/06)

John Robert takes off his shoes on stage. I wouldn't have recommended this at Alchemize but he seemed to be okay with it. He's an interesting frontman. Very unassuming but also very commanding. Overall, the guys were all really nice and lighthearted both of which went perfectly with the music.
