Friedberger King

The Fiery Furnaces played an INCREDIBLE show Tuesday night at Southgate. On the "Bitter Tea" tour, Matt Friedberger had his guitar. This time he stuck to the keyboards and they somehow managed to rock even harder. Eleanor's delivery is unmatched. If they are playing anywhere near you, please go see this show. Their performance made me forget about all the Arcade Fire's of the world.

And if you're not into the Furnaces crazy instrumentation, here's an acoustic performance I found of "Japanese Slippers" that shows it is, in fact, a nice little pop song...
